Lessons
Training at Greystone is founded in the principals of classical dressage and combined training. Riders learn the correct application of aids and work towards their personal goals and aspirations.
For riders who do not yet own or lease a horse:
At Greystone, we run a very small-scale lesson program focusing on safety and the good care of our animals. We insist on private lessons for beginner riders and young children. Our horses are mainly home-bred and family owned. Some of our lesson horses are our own retired competition horses and all have a high degree of schooling. They must be correctly handled, well cared for and not overworked. We insist that our horses are ridden only once--rarely twice--daily with one or two days off per week. Riders who do not own a horse and are riding our school horses must commit to a minimum of one lesson per week or four per month.
The rates and policies for monthly lesson packages can be found in the link to the right.
